Welcome to Spider Contractors Limited. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, services, and construction consultancy. By accessing our site or contracting our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations in the Republic of Uganda.
1. Definitions & Scope
In these Terms, the following definitions apply:
- "Company" refers to Spider Contractors Limited, a registered civil engineering and building contractor in Uganda.
- "Client" refers to any individual, entity, or representative requesting, bidding on, or contracting civil, road, bridge, or structural works.
- "Services" means all civil design, site preparation, concrete works, structural engineering, and heavy machinery hiring supplied by the Company.
2. Service Proposals & Estimates
All cost estimates, project timelines, and material schedules provided via our online quote request form or standard communication are preliminary estimates. Official construction quotes require technical drawings, site visits, and a formal signed contract before they are deemed binding.
Spider Contractors Limited reserves the right to amend estimates in the event of unforeseen site conditions, material price surges in East Africa, or client-initiated scope amendments.
3. Payment Terms & Mobilization
Specific payment terms, milestone releases, and retention percentages will be defined solely within individual Project Contracts. Standard contracts require a mobilization deposit prior to team deployment and heavy machinery transport to the site.
All payments must be made via official bank transfers or certified checks payable to Spider Contractors Limited. Cash transactions are strictly not permitted unless authorized in writing by the Finance Directorate.
4. Machinery Rental & Hire Conditions
All machinery leased or rented from Spider Contractors Limited (including excavators, bulldozers, and tipper trucks) remains the sole property of the Company. Rented equipment is delivered with qualified operators.
Clients are responsible for ensuring clear, safe access roads to site locations and providing appropriate security for leased equipment on site during non-operational hours.
5. Limitation of Liability
Spider Contractors Limited maintains comprehensive third-party insurance and Workman's Compensation. However, to the maximum extent permitted by Ugandan law, the Company is not liable for structural changes resulting from unapproved land usage, geological anomalies, or third-party interference.
6. Governing Law
These Terms and all disputes arising from our services or website interaction shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, with disputes settled in the competent courts of Kampala.
